    Dana's Ventriloquist & Magic Show

For this program, I bring two footlockers (and more!) of tricks, juggling, paper cutting and at least 3 ventriloquist puppets, including my giant bird puppet "Pee Wee Rainbow" (almost 6' tall)! This is my most popular act and meets the entertainment needs of most events. An excellent choice, whether performed on a floor, platform or stage, indoors or out. This show is at least 45 minutes long and is great for any size audience. The theme of the program can be adapted to your particular event.

All of my shows are excellent family entertainment for adults, teenagers and children ages 5 or older. Actual puppets and tricks used may vary according to the performing conditions, length of program, type of audience, and your own particular requirements. . I perform extensively throughout New England at fairs, festivals, schools, churches, and banquets for a wide variety of groups and organizations.

  • Presenter: Richard Adams Carey

On August 19, 1997, in little Colebrook, New Hampshire, a 62-year-old carpenter named Carl Drega, a man with long-simmering property rights grievances, murdered state troopers Scott Phillips and Les Lord at a traffic stop in a supermarket parking lot. Then Drega stole Phillips's cruiser and drove downtown to settle some old scores. By the end of the day three more were dead, Drega among them, and four wounded. Occurring on the eve of America's current plague of gun violence, this tragic event made headlines all over the world and shocked New Hampshire out of a previous innocence. Touching on facets of North Country history, local governance, law enforcement, gun violence, and the human spirit, Richard Adams Carey describes a community that was never a passive victim but rather a brave and resilient survivor.
