PURPOSE

The purpose of this Personnel Policy is to establish policies and procedures to ensure uniform treatment and administration of personnel employed by the Libraries. The Libraries are committed to a policy of non-discrimination as outlined in the Town of Plainfield, NH Policy Handbook, Section 3.0

The policies stated in this handbook are subject to change at any time, with or without notice, at the sole discretion of the Board of Trustees. Any change made to the content of these policies will be distributed in writing to those employees affected. This handbook should not be construed as, and does not constitute, a contract guaranteeing employment.  

As designated in the NH RSA 202-A:11, (V), the Board of Trustees is responsible for appointing a Library Director and all other employees of the Library. The Board is likewise responsible for discharging or removing any library employees. 

The Library Director is responsible for the administration of this policy. Each employee will be given a copy of this Personnel Policy, and a signed acknowledgment of receipt of this handbook will be placed in the employee’s personnel file.
