Understanding Bobcats in New Hampshire Presented by NH Fish and Game
Join Donna Roscoe a Fish and Game Steward for an informative look into the secretive world of New Hampshire's only wild cat—the bobcat. Learn about their behavior, habitat, diet, and how the population has rebounded in recent decades. This engaging presentation will explore current research, how bobcats interact with the landscape and other wildlife, and what to do if you spot one. Perfect for nature enthusiasts, hikers, and curious minds of all ages.
The Plainfield Conservation Commission will be hosting a community forum to highlight our work to update the Town’s Natural Resources Inventory and to engage the public in helping to direct the work moving forward. We’re working with Moosewood Ecological to create the plan.
Meriden Library on Wednesday, October 8th at 6:30 pm.
Parents (and legal guardians, grandparents, or caregivers) and kids (babies up to school age) are welcome to drop in for this play group, held each week on Tuesdays from 10-11 AM. This parent-organized program provides an opportunity for young children to socialize and play with others and gives parents and guardians the opportunity to meet and connect with each other.
The program is open to all ages, with activities for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. Parents and caregivers are asked to pack a snack for their kids.
